Dr Ajith Kumar A.K is senior consultant in critical care medicine (past HOD)at Manipal Hospitals, Bangalore-17. He had obtained his MD& DNB in Respiratory medicine at GS medical college and KEM Hospitals in Mumbai,& has had worked as a senior resident in JIPMER, Pondicherry. He obtained the European Diploma in Intensive Care(EDIC) after having worked at the Frankston & Western Hospitals in Victoria, Australia.The FICCM was awarded to him in 2016.
He is an enthusiastic member in the intensive care teaching programmes of Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine(ISCCM) and is the immediate past chairman of ISCCM Bangalore chapter.
Dr Kumar is a teacher & examiner of IDCCM,IFCCM,IDCCN &FNB/DNB courses in critical care. Dr Kumar has been an author/reviewer in various national/international journals & currently holds the post of accreditation secretary of ISCCM. Areas of special interest include sepsis & ARDS.
